How we work - delivering care
We work openly, honestly and diligently with the people we provide care for and, their families. We ensure that we build a close bond of trust between our carers, you and your loved one so that the care environment is safe and comfortable. HSL promotes independent living and improves quality of life, through compassionate care and support.
Every carer has a full DBS background check. They’re fully trained and must actively engage with ongoing training and development, including CPR certification. Our carers use real-time GPS location for added safety, plus we can provide regular daily/weekly updates if required.
FAQs - answering your questions
We’re happy to answer any questions you have by telephone or during the initial assessment, however, we understand that you may also want a quick answer to common questions, to help you find out what care is best for your particular circumstances.
HSL Care has compiled a list of frequently asked questions, to give you quick answers – why not read our FAQ section to see the answers to questions we’re asked every day. Or, if you would prefer to have a more in-depth discussion, feel free to get in touch with our Manchester or Stockport office, where there will be someone available to speak to you about your questions you may want answering.
The process - getting started
All clients receive a full in-home care assessment. We visit the family home to find out what you want to achieve from providing care for your loved one. All assessments are carried out by a highly trained HSL Client Care Coordinator. The initial assessment usually takes between 45 minutes to two hours to complete.
We need to learn about the needs, wishes, feelings, strengths and aspirations of your loved one and, listen to why there’s a need for care. By exploring current circumstances, the wider support network and any physical, emotional, personal care or medical needs, we can build a care plan which works for you.
