Job Description
We’re looking for part-time Care Assistants, within the Stockport area. As a part-time Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing care for individuals in their own home, supporting them with daily lives; providing companionship, support, helping to do light housework duties, prepare food and helping them access the local community or further afield, to help enrich their daily quality of life.
Wherever possible, you’ll be working with the same clients each day, so that they feel comfortable in your company, quickly establishing a strong bond of trust. You’ll get to know your clients and their families and feel like a valued and important part of their lives. As a part-time Care Assistant, you’ll receive a comprehensive and ongoing support package, so that you feel confident with providing the essential care and emotional support needed to make a real difference.
Your work involves driving your own car to different clients’ homes and occasionally accompanying some clients to the shops, accessing the local community or maybe day trips or special occasions like a family event. We always pay our Care Assistants mileage for using their own vehicles, so you’re free to provide the best support possible.
The Care Assistant role can be challenging sometimes, however, it is a very rewarding one when you see the difference you personally make to other people’s lives. Helping clients with personal care ensures that their dignity is protected, whilst providing companionship, doing activities together or simply being around for them when they need help, gives clients a much-needed boost for their emotional wellbeing.
Your part-time Care Assistant role at HSL Care means that you may be able to work flexible hours, with evening and weekend work times also available for Carers who prefer working outside of normal working hours. if you like the sound of working with HSL Care but prefer working more hours, we also have full-time Care Assistant roles available too.
The successful applicant
It’s important that you’re a warm, caring, compassionate and committed individual, so that you can help clients to remain living within the comfort and security of their own home environment.
Ideally, we’d like you to have previous experience of working as a carer or providing care for a loved one, however, what matters more is that you possess an inner passion to want to provide help and care for others in need.
We’ll provide all of the initial training, ongoing training, uniform and expert support you’ll ever need to quickly become a successful Home Care Assistant.
Because we’re working with vulnerable adults and children, it is mandatory requirement that you agree to have a full DBS check prior to employment.
